Job Description:
Parsons is seeking a seasoned HSE Director with two decades of expertise to lead health, safety, and environmental excellence for one of Saudi Arabia’s landmark Giga-projects. Based in Riyadh, you will be responsible for orchestrating a world-class safety culture across massive, high-complexity construction environments.
What You Will Be Doing
Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute an overarching HSE strategy aligned with Parsons’ global standards and the specific Vision 2030 requirements of the Giga-project.
Program Oversight: Direct the implementation of Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) protocols across multiple project phases.
Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary HSE advisor to executive leadership, client representatives, and government regulatory bodies.
Incident Prevention: Lead high-level risk assessments and root-cause analyses for complex technical challenges, ensuring "Zero Harm" targets are consistently met.
Team Mentorship: Oversee a large, multidisciplinary team of HSE managers and inspectors, fostering a culture of continuous professional development.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: Minimum of 20 years of progressive experience in HSE management, specifically within large-scale civil infrastructure or mega-construction projects.
Regional Expertise: Proven track record in the Middle East (specifically Saudi Arabia) and a deep understanding of local labor laws and environmental regulations.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or Engineering. Professional certifications (e.g., CSP, CMIOSH, or equivalent) are mandatory.
Giga-Project Pedigree: Experience managing multi-billion dollar project portfolios with high-density labor forces.
Leadership Style: A visionary leader who balances technical rigor with the emotional intelligence needed to influence diverse international teams.
