Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Health, Safety, and Welfare (HSE/WHS) Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to Promote safe and healthy work environments. Accomplish this by inspecting workplaces, pinpointing hazards, and implementing policies or procedures to address any identified safety concerns.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Conduct regular assessments to identify individual and group needs.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
- Prepare reports and present findings to senior management or stakeholders.
- Train employees or managers on safe workplace practices while ensuring that workers have the resources and support needed to perform their jobs effectively without putting their health or well-being on the line.
- Establish, implement, and enforce policies to ensure a safe, compliant, and healthy work environment.
- Responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, investigating accidents, delivering training, and ensuring compliance with occupational health laws (e.g., OSHA) to minimize risks and promote employee well-being.
- Promote safe and healthy work environments. Accomplish this by inspecting workplaces, pinpointing hazards, and implementing policies or procedures to address any identified safety concerns.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors in occupational health and safety, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant experience is preferred.
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
Requires knowledge of Federal and state health and safety regulations and reporting procedures, as well as strong written and oral communication skills.
