Job Description:

Parsons is seeking an experienced GIS Manager to lead the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) strategy, implementation, and management across a complex, multi-sector development project involving residential, infrastructure, commercial, tourism, and logistics components.

The GIS Manager will be responsible for overseeing GIS data acquisition, analysis, integration, and visualization to support project planning, design, construction, and asset management activities.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Develop and implement the GIS strategy aligned with project and organizational goals.

• Manage GIS data collection, processing, and quality assurance for diverse infrastructure and building assets.

• Lead GIS integration with BIM, CAD, and asset management systems to enhance data accessibility and decision-making.

• Coordinate with engineering, design, and construction teams to provide GIS support and spatial analysis.

• Oversee the preparation of maps, spatial reports, and GIS-based presentations for stakeholders.

• Manage GIS software platforms (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS), licenses, and hardware resources.

• Lead and mentor GIS team members, ensuring skill development and effective workflows.

• Liaise with external GIS vendors, utility authorities, and data providers.

• Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and industry standards.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geospatial Science, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

• Minimum 15 years of professional experience in GIS management, preferably on large-scale infrastructure or urban development projects.

• Extensive knowledge of GIS software platforms such as ArcGIS, QGIS, and related tools.

• Experience integrating GIS with BIM, CAD, and asset management systems.

• Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.

• Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and large datasets effectively.

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:

• Master’s degree or GIS professional certifications (e.g., GISP).

• Experience working on giga or mega projects, particularly in the Middle East.

• Familiarity with spatial data standards, geodatabases, and cloud GIS solutions.

• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, SQL, or R for spatial analysis automation.

• Ability to innovate GIS workflows to improve project efficiency and data quality.
