Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a meticulous Food Catering Quality Control (QC) Specialist to ensure the highest standards of food quality and safety within the catering operations for the Qiddiya project in Riyadh. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in food quality control and a strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and inspect food preparation and serving processes to ensure compliance with established quality and safety standards.
• Conduct regular quality checks on food items to ensure they meet taste, presentation, and hygiene requirements.
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures and protocols for food catering services.
• Train and supervise catering staff on quality standards and food safety procedures.
• Identify and address any issues or defects in food preparation and presentation.
• Maintain accurate records of quality inspections and findings.
• Collaborate with the camp management team to ensure seamless catering operations.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the catering facility.
• Manage inventory of catering supplies and equipment, ensuring timely procurement and maintenance.
• Provide regular reports on food quality performance and suggest improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Hospitality Management, or a related field; additional certification in food safety or quality control is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in food quality control or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation processes, equipment, and quality standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to train and supervise staff effectively.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using quality control tools and software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations related to food catering operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a camp or large-scale project environment.
• Certification in food safety or quality control.
