Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a highly skilled Executive Director - Asset Management - to oversee the strategic planning, operational management, and optimization of assets for a world-class Opera House project.

This leadership role focuses on maximizing the value and performance of the Opera House’s assets, ensuring operational excellence, financial sustainability, and alignment with the client’s vision of establishing the venue as a premier global destination. The Executive Director will be responsible for developing and implementing asset management strategies, driving revenue growth, and maintaining the long-term viability of the Opera House.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in asset management within cultural or entertainment venues, a strong background in Opera House development, and expertise in stakeholder engagement, financial planning, and market analysis. This is a unique opportunity to lead the asset management strategy for a landmark project and contribute to its global success.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive asset management strategies to optimize the performance and value of the Opera House’s assets.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including government entities, cultural organizations, investors, and community leaders.

  • Represent the Opera House at industry events, conferences, and forums to promote its brand and attract investment opportunities.

  • Lead financial planning and budgeting for the Opera House, ensuring cost-effective management of resources.

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and drive continuous improvement.

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the cultural and entertainment sector.

  • Develop strategies to position the Opera House competitively in regional and international markets.

  • Develop initiatives to enhance visitor experience and engagement, ensuring the Opera House remains a top-tier destination.

  • Implement innovative solutions to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.

  • Maximize revenue streams through strategic partnerships, events, and innovative asset utilization.

  • Act as the primary liaison between the Opera House and external partners to ensure alignment with project goals.

  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, fostering collaboration and professional growth.

  • Ensure the team is equipped to deliver high-quality results and meet project milestones.

  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with asset management and operational activities.

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Opera House, ensuring efficiency, sustainability, and adherence to best practices.

  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of assets, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.

  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, international standards, and sustainability practices.

  • Oversee the implementation of high-value projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with the Opera House’s strategic objectives.

  • Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and ensure quality standards are met.

  • Prepare regular reports on asset performance, financial outcomes, and operational efficiency for stakeholders and leadership.

  • Ensure alignment with the client’s vision of transforming the Opera House into a global cultural destination.

What Required Skills / Qualifications You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, real estate, asset management, engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

  • Minimum of +25 years of experience in asset management.

  • Proven track record in managing large-scale cultural, entertainment, or hospitality projects, preferably Opera Houses or similar venues.

  • Extensive knowledge of asset lifecycle management, including maintenance, upgrades, and capital planning.

  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, budgeting, and revenue optimization strategies.

  • Experience in stakeholder engagement, including working with government entities, investors, and cultural organizations.

  • Familiarity with international standards and regulations related to asset management and operations.

  • Expertise in risk management and mitigation strategies for large-scale projects.

  • Proficiency in market analysis and identifying trends in the cultural and entertainment sectors.

  • Advanced knowledge of asset management systems, data analytics tools, and emerging technologies.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor diverse teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Commitment to sustainability and environmental best practices in asset management.

  • Professional certifications in asset management, project management, or related fields (e.g., PMP, RICS, or similar) are highly desirable.
