Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Electrical Engineering Intern to join our Pasadena team for the Summer 2025 term! In this role you will get to perform a variety of tasks on electrical engineering design for wastewater treatment facilities and conveyance systems..

What You'll Be Doing:

• ​Developing drawings for electrical systems (power, controls, communications,) using CADD;

• Performing electrical calculations using systems analyses software (lighting, load, voltage drop, etc.);

• Assisting in the development of electrical distribution design plans and single line diagrams;

• Reviewing shop drawings and assist with general construction services.

• Utilizing a CAD workstation to prepare engineering drawings consisting of basic arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, etc., from rough sketches and/or from general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures.

• Utilizing technical manuals and directives to ensure compliance with codes and company policies.

• Becoming familiar with various standards and codes, such as ANSI, NFPA, and California Electrical Code.

• Compiling data and performs dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of drawings.

• Performing other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Basic knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and/or MicroStation, and

• Previous experience working in a corporate engineering environment

Salary Range: 

$21.44 - $37.55
