Job Description:

Parsons is growing and now hiring Civil Engineers for Construction Inspection roles in the Jacksonville Florida area! In this role, you'll get to contribute to some of the most impactful infrastructure projects in Florida!

We need inspectors with strong civil/structural background, construction experience or interest and a passion for safety and quality! 

We have been supporting Florida DOT clients for over 20 years and have transformed many roads and bridges across the state.

We prefer local candidates in the Jacksonville Area, but will consider experienced candidates outside of the region with minimal relocation assistance required. 

What You'll Be Doing:

• Receive general supervision from the Project Engineer and Senior Inspector who reviews work while in progress. 

• Read and interpret plans, specifications, and shop drawings.

• Perform field inspection of the contractor’s operations to ensure compliance with contract documents.

• Perform sampling and testing of component materials and completed work in accordance with appropriate standards and procedures. 

• Prepare daily reports to document contractor work operations.

• Enter daily reports in Site Manager and testing results into Materials Acceptance and Certification (MAC) database.

• Perform quantity take-offs, and field measure or calculate installed material quantities. 

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and and typically 0+ years of related work experience is required.

• Possession of, or ability to obtain required FDOT CTQP certificates and Intermediate Temporary Traffic Control (MOT) certification within 6 months

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Engineering In Training (EIT) certificate is strongly preferred for candidates without previous construction experience.

Salary Range: $26.25 - $45.96
