Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a meticulous and organized Document Controller to join our infrastructure construction supervision team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and controlling all project documentation and correspondence, ensuring that documents are properly stored, tracked, and distributed in accordance with project requirements.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Receive, log, and track all incoming and outgoing documents, drawings, and correspondences, ensuring proper distribution to relevant project stakeholders.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project files, both in physical and digital formats, following document control procedures and project specifications.

  • Ensure that all project documentation is reviewed, approved, and signed off in accordance with internal and client requirements.

  • Coordinate the revision, distribution, and retrieval of drawings, specifications, and other documents to ensure proper version control.

  • Maintain the document management system (DMS) and assist with the setup and configuration of project-specific folders and templates.

  • Prepare and issue reports on the status of documentation and track submission and approval timelines.

  • Ensure that document control practices comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

  • Assist project teams in locating specific documents, tracking changes, and ensuring all project documentation is accessible to relevant stakeholders.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Document Controller in a construction or engineering environment.

  • Solid understanding of document management processes, systems, and procedures.

  • Familiarity with project management software and document control tools (e.g., Aconex, Procore, SharePoint).

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:

  • Previous experience working on infrastructure projects, such as roads, bridges, tunnels, and utilities.

  • Familiarity with local and international construction and document control standards.

  • Knowledge of digital file management, cloud-based document storage systems, and version control practices.
