Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an experienced Design Management Engineer (Saudi National) to join our team in Saudi Arabia. As a Design Management Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the design process from inception to completion, ensuring that all architectural and engineering projects meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency while adhering to Saudi National Standards and Vision 2030 initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design Oversight: Manage and coordinate the development of design packages, ensuring all technical requirements and client specifications are met.

  • Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary liaison between client representatives, internal engineering teams, and external consultants to streamline communication.

  • Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with the Saudi Building Code (SBC), local regulations, and project-specific KPIs.

  • Technical Review: Conduct thorough reviews of drawings, specifications, and reports to identify potential conflicts or value-engineering opportunities.

  • Progress Tracking: Monitor design schedules and provide regular status reports to senior management, highlighting risks and mitigation strategies.

  • Procurement Support: Assist in the evaluation of design proposals and the selection of sub-consultants.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related engineering field from an accredited university.

  • Experience: A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in design management or engineering consultancy within the construction industry.

  • Project History: Proven track record of working on large-scale infrastructure or master-planning projects within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

  • Software Proficiency: Skilled in AutoCAD, Revit, and project management software (e.g., Primavera P6 or MS Project).

Preferred Skills

  • Leadership: Strong ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex workflows.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English.

  • Certification: Professional Engineering (PE) license or PMP certification is highly desirable.

  • Analytical Thinking: Exceptional problem-solving skills with a keen eye for technical detail.
