  • Lead coordination meetings with all stakeholders, ensuring alignment on design interfaces and project goals.

  • Prepare detailed reports on design interface issues, solutions, and progress for project management and senior leadership.

Quality Control and Assurance:

  • Ensure that all MEP designs and installations are completed according to the approved quality standards and project specifications.

  • Implement rigorous quality control measures to prevent errors and rework during the design and construction phases.

  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor MEP installations, ensuring they are executed as per the approved designs.

Project Delivery and Deadlines:

  • Ensure timely delivery of MEP designs by managing schedules, reviewing progress, and proactively addressing any delays or risks.

  • Coordinate the timely completion of design approvals, ensuring that all required documentation is submitted on time.

  • Track and report on the progress of MEP system designs, ensuring the integration of design solutions into the overall project delivery.

Risk Management and Problem Solving:

  • Identify risks related to MEP design interfaces and proactively develop mitigation strategies.

  • Resolve technical issues related to design integration, ensuring minimal impact on project delivery timelines.

  • Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to address design challenges and optimize solutions.

Sustainability and Compliance:

  • Ensure that MEP systems comply with sustainability guidelines and energy efficiency standards.

  • Review designs for compliance with local codes, regulations, and environmental standards.

  • Identify opportunities to implement green building solutions within MEP design to improve energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a related field. Professional certifications or memberships (e.g., CEng, LEED AP) are a plus.

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in MEP design and engineering, with at least 2-3 years in an interface management role.

    • Proven experience managing MEP system designs for large-scale construction projects (commercial, residential, or infrastructure).

    • Strong experience in coordinating multiple design disciplines and resolving design conflicts.

  • Skills & Knowledge:

    • In-depth knowledge of MEP systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection) and their integration with other disciplines.

    • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM tools for MEP systems.

    • Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to MEP systems.

    • Ability to manage project schedules and ensure designs are delivered on time and within budget.
