Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Network Systems Engineer - Saudi national to join our team! In this role you will get to support the monitoring, administration, development, and optimization of enterprise telecommunications and IP networks. You will contribute to network performance monitoring, systems integration, software development, and operational support to ensure reliable, secure, and high-performing network services across mission-critical environments.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Monitor and analyze the performance, availability, and reliability of enterprise telecommunications and IP networks.
  • Collect, interpret, and report network performance metrics and operational data to support system performance, capacity planning, and service reporting.
  • Develop and maintain software applications and automation scripts using programming languages such as C, C++, Java, PERL, AWK, and SED.
  • Configure, monitor, and support TCP/IP-based network environments and associated communication protocols.
  • Utilize network management platforms to monitor network health, troubleshoot issues, and improve operational performance.
  • Support the integration and maintenance of enterprise network management tools and monitoring solutions.
  • Develop and maintain web-based interfaces and reporting tools using HTML, CGI, ASP, or equivalent web technologies.
  • Analyze network events and recommend performance improvements and optimization strategies.
  • Assist in troubleshooting complex network and system issues while supporting incident resolution activities.
  • Support network upgrades, system implementations, and technology refresh initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, operational procedures, and system configurations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and IT teams to deliver reliable network services.
  • Provide technical guidance and operational support to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Serve as a technical resource for managers and team members on network-related matters.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance network performance, automation, and operational efficiency.
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 2+ years of professional experience in network engineering, systems engineering, telecommunications, or related IT environments.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking principles and protocols.
  • Working knowledge of SNMP, ATM, Frame Relay, and enterprise networking concepts.
  • Experience developing software using C, C++, or Java.
  • Experience developing automation scripts using PERL, AWK, SED, Shell, or similar scripting languages.
  • Experience with enterprise network management and monitoring tools.
  • Familiarity with web development technologies including HTML, CGI, ASP, or similar technologies.
  • Knowledge of Windows and UNIX/Linux operating systems, including Solaris or Windows Server environments.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting multidisciplinary technical teams.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Experience supporting commercial telecommunications or enterprise IP network environments.
  • Experience with network monitoring platforms such as HP OpenView (HPOV), Netcool, NerveCenter, or equivalent enterprise monitoring solutions.
  • Familiarity with network performance analysis, capacity planning, and operational reporting.
  • Knowledge of network automation and systems integration best practices.
  • Experience supporting mission-critical or large-scale enterprise infrastructure.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and secure network operations.
  • Knowledge of virtualization, cloud networking, or hybrid infrastructure environments.
  • Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Network+, JNCIA, or equivalent are considered an asset.
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in networking and emerging technologies.
