Job Description:

Parsons are looking for an amazingly talented Construction Engineer (Power)(Saudi National)​ to join our team on King Salman International Airport (KSIA)! 

What You’ll Be Doing:

Construction Support and Supervision:

  • Assist in overseeing the installation of LV/MV electrical systems, substations, switchgear, transformers, power distribution panels, and associated infrastructure.

  • Monitor daily site activities and ensure compliance with design drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.

  • Conduct inspections and coordinate with subcontractors to verify installation quality and readiness for testing.

Technical Coordination:

  • Support the resolution of technical issues, RFIs, and field modifications related to power systems.

  • Coordinate with the electrical design team, QA/QC personnel, and other engineering disciplines for interface alignment.

  • Review shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements related to power installations.

Testing and Pre-Commissioning:

  • Participate in the inspection, testing, and pre-commissioning of electrical power systems in accordance with project and safety requirements.

  • Assist in preparing documentation for test reports, punch lists, and system turnover.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of daily progress, inspection checklists, and field observations.

  • Support the preparation of construction progress reports and update tracking logs.

Health, Safety, and Compliance:

  • Ensure all electrical works are carried out in accordance with HSE protocols and risk assessments.

  • Report and escalate any safety violations or quality deviations.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical construction engineering, preferably on infrastructure or airport-related projects.

  • Basic understanding of electrical power systems, equipment, and installation procedures.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with electrical codes and standards (IEC, NEC, etc.).

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.

  • Working knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD, and electrical design software.

  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:

  • Exposure to airfield or airport electrical systems (airfield lighting, substations, backup power, etc.).

  • Knowledge of testing and commissioning procedures.

  • Familiarity with Aconex or similar project documentation tools.

  • Arabic language skills are a plus.
