Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Communication Systems Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to designs, implements, and maintains telecommunication, security, and audio-visual systems, ensuring they meet project requirements, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Designs, develops, and integrates communication systems, including telecommunication networks, security systems, and audio-visual solutions.

• Collaborates with project teams, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure communication systems are integrated effectively into building designs and infrastructure.

• Conducts feasibility studies, performance analysis, and troubleshooting for communication systems to ensure efficient, reliable, and secure operations.

• Prepares technical documentation, including system specifications, design calculations, and project reports for communication systems.

• Oversees the installation, testing, and commissioning of communication systems, ensuring compliance with safety codes and quality standards.

• Provides technical expertise and guidance to clients, contractors, and project teams throughout the design, implementation, and maintenance phases.

• Monitors and evaluates the performance of installed communication systems, identifying and addressing areas for improvement and optimization.

• Ensures communication systems are compliant with local, national, and international regulatory standards.

• Keeps up-to-date with the latest communication technologies, trends, and best practices to ensure the systems are at the forefront of the industry.

• Troubleshoots and resolves issues with communication systems during design, installation, and post-installation phases.

• Performs other duties related to the design, integration, and maintenance of communication systems.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining communication systems

• Professional certification or licensure in communication systems engineering preferred

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

• Strong knowledge of communication system design, including telecommunication, security, and audio-visual systems

• Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, communication-specific software) and MS Office Suite

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects and ensure reliable, high-performance systems

• Familiarity with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and safety codes for communication systems
