Quelques projets phares sur lesquels nos équipes de Parsons Québec travaillent:

  • Projet de bonification de l’autoroute 30 entre Boucherville et Brossard.
  • Réfection majeure du tunnel Louis-H.-La Fontaine et des tunnels Ville-Marie et Viger. 
  • Aménagements temporaires pour la reconstruction du pont de l’Île-aux-Tourtes.
  • Appel d’offres pour les services de conception-construction pour la réhabilitation et la construction de nouvelles bretelles au pont Verrazano-Narrows à Brooklyn.

Actuellement, l’équipe d’infrastructures de transport. est à la recherche d'un(e) chargé (e) de projets en hydraulique pour se joindre à notre bureau de Montréal ou de Québec.

Dans ce poste, vous serez responsable de la réalisation des études hydrologiques et hydrauliques pour le développement des infrastructures de transport. De plus, vous effectuerez diverses tâches d'ingénierie et de conception dans des projets liés aux routes municipales, au drainage et aux services publics, ainsi qu'à la conception et à la supervision de la construction. Vous dirigerez également des enquêtes sur le terrain et la préparation de rapports d'inspection. Nous recherchons une personne désireuse de franchir une nouvelle étape dans sa carrière, en accédant à un rôle de leadership avec le soutien et l'encouragement de notre équipe établie dans tout l'Est du Canada.

Idéalement vous avez :

  • Ingénieur, membre actif de l’Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec, avec plus de 6 ans d'expérience dans les services municipaux (eau et assainissement) et les eaux pluviales.
  • Bonne connaissance des normes du ministère des Transports du Québec et de la Mobilité durable (MTMD).
  • Compétences efficaces en communication interpersonnelle, verbale et écrite, ainsi qu'en engagement.
  • Connaissance des processus, politiques, directives et normes nationales, provinciales et municipales liés à l'ingénierie municipale et aux tendances évolutives de l'industrie.
  • Maîtrise des logiciels de conception liés aux infrastructures civiles/drainage. Par exemple, une expérience avec certains ou tous les logiciels suivants sera considérée : AutoCAD Civil3D et/ou MicroStation V8i, InRoads, StormCAD, EPA-SWMM, ArcGIS, CivilStorm, Inroads Storm and Sanitary, et HEC-RAS, PCSWMM, WaterCAD (EPANET) ou autres logiciels semblables.
  • Maîtrise de l'anglais et du français.

  • Mettre en valeur vos compétences et votre expertise dans le développement de conceptions d'ingénierie pour les routes, l’hydraulique de ponts, le drainage, l'hydrologie et les projets municipaux.
  • Diriger ou contribuer au développement de dessins conceptuels et détaillés d'infrastructures municipales diverses, et démontrer une expertise dans les routes, les infrastructures souterraines, les égouts, les systèmes de drainage, le nivellement, les ponceaux, les nouveaux aménagements et la modernisation des installations existantes.
  • Préparer des calculs de conception, des rapports, des plans de construction, des documents de permis, des calculs de quantités, des estimations et produire/vérifier des données analytiques d'ingénierie et des informations connexes pour garantir l'exactitude des rapports de conception/techniques.
  • Gérer, encadrer, motiver et fournir un leadership au personnel pour offrir des services de haute qualité et des solutions innovantes aux défis de conception complexes.
  • Gérer ou assister à la préparation des propositions de l'équipe de consultants et profiter régulièrement de l'excitation de remporter des contrats.

La connaissance du français est requise pour les postes situés en permanence au Québec afin que le titulaire puisse communiquer au besoin avec ses collègues et partenaires au Québec. Une formation en français est offerte à tout titulaire d’un poste permanent au Québec qui ne possède pas une bonne connaissance du français.

Autre exigence linguistique

La maîtrise de l’anglais est requise pour ce poste afin de communiquer avec les collègues, les clients et les partenaires (ou les fournisseurs) situés à l’extérieur du Québec, et de comprendre la documentation technique et scientifique disponible dans le domaine de notre industrie.

Examples of flagship projects

  • Widening of Highway 30;
  • Major repair of the Louis-Hippolyte La Fontaine tunnel and the Ville-Marie and Viger tunnels;
  • Temporary road designer for the Reconstruction of île-Aux-Tourtes Bridge between Vaudreuil-Dorion and Senneville;
  • Design-Build Services for the rehabilitation and new construction of the Brooklyn Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge (VNB) ramps.

Currently, the transportation infrastructure team is looking for a Hydraulics Project Manager to join our Montreal or Quebec City office.

In this position, you will be responsible for conducting hydrological and hydraulic studies for the development of transportation infrastructure. Additionally, you will perform various engineering and design tasks in projects related to municipal roads, drainage, and utilities, as well as design and construction supervision. You will also lead field investigations and prepare inspection reports. We are looking for someone eager to take the next step in their career, moving into a leadership role with the support and encouragement of our established team throughout Eastern Canada.

Ideally, you have:

  •  Engineer, active member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec, with over 6 years of experience in municipal services (water and sanitation) and stormwater management;
  • Good knowledge of the standards of the Quebec Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility (MTMD);
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as engagement skills;
  • Knowledge of national, provincial, and municipal processes, policies, guidelines, and standards related to municipal engineering and evolving industry trends;
  • Proficiency in design software related to civil/drainage infrastructure. For example, experience with some or all of the following software will be considered: AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation V8i, InRoads, StormCAD, EPA-SWMM, ArcGIS, CivilStorm, Inroads Storm and Sanitary, HEC-RAS, PCSWMM, WaterCAD (EPANET), or other similar software;
  • Proficiency in English and French.

  • Prepare design calculations, reports, construction plans, permit documents, quantity calculations, estimates, and produce/check engineering analytical data and related information to ensure the accuracy of design/technical reports;
  • Manage, mentor, motivate, and provide leadership to staff to deliver high-quality services and innovative solutions to complex design challenges;
  • Manage or assist in the preparation of consultant team proposals and regularly enjoy the thrill of winning contracts.

Language of Work for Positions Permanently Located in Quebec 

Knowledge of French is required for positions permanently located in Quebec so that the holder can communicate as needed with colleagues and partners in Quebec. French language training is offered to any holder of a permanent position in Quebec who does not have a good knowledge of French.

Other Language Requirement

 Proficiency in English is required for this position in order to communicate with colleagues, clients, and partners (or suppliers) located outside of Quebec, and to understand the technical and scientific documentation available in our industry.

Requirements:

  • P.Eng with 6+ years experience in municipal servicing (water and sanitary) and stormwater.
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal and writing communications and engagement skills.
  • Knowledge of national, provincial and municipal processes, policies, guidelines and standards related to municipal engineering and evolving industry trends.
  • Proficiency using civil/drainage related design software.  For example, experience with some or all of the following, will be considered:  AutoCAD Civil3D and/or MicroStation V8i, , InRoads, StormCAD, EPA-SWMM, ArcGIS, CivilStorm, Inroads Storm and Sanitary, and HEC-RAS software, PCSWMM, waterCAD (EPANET) or other PC software packages.
  • Bilingual English/French is not required but is preferred.
