Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented CAD Designer to join our team! In this role you will get to join our construction supervision team related to Roads, Bridges and infrastructure work.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Utilizes a CAD workstation to prepare engineering drawings consisting of basic arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, etc., from rough sketches and/or from general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures.
- Utilizes technical manuals and directives to ensure compliance with codes and company policies.
- Becomes familiar with various standards and codes such as ANSI, PFI, and ASME.
- Compiles data and performs dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of drawings.
- Understands how to read orthographic (2D) and/or isometric (3D) designs and supplier/manufacturer drawings.
- Experience in general arrangement of Road/Bridge/Tunnel layout, cross sections, setting out details, traffic signs and road markings ,and temporary traffic management drawings
- Organizes and schedule drawing completions independently.
- Preparing detailed technical drawings as per project requirements with complying with all standards.
- Collaboration and work closely with Engineers, and other team members to ensure drawings align with project requirements and standards
- Review and revise drawings as needed, incorporating feedback and making adjustments to ensure accuracy and compliance with codes and regulations.
- Maintain organized records of all drawings, revisions, and related documents for future reference and documentation
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Emirati National
- Diploma in any Engineering from an accredited institution (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Architectural)
- Good English communication skills
- Computer skills and the ability to utilize design software (e.g. Auto Cad) is an advantage.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- Use web-based software to manage the uploading and downloading of document, submittals, drawings, models etc
