BIM Manager - Dry utilities
Qatar
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented BIM Manager- Dry Utilities to join our team! In this role you will get to work on one a major infrastructure projects in Qatar.
What You'll Be Doing:
Develops, maintains, and identifies efficient plans and solutions for complex detailed digital models using Building Information Management (BIM) software to achieve alignment with architectural, engineering, and project precision and compliance requirements.
Oversees various BIM functionalities, practices, and procedures. Provides BIM expertise and guidance and confirms BIM accessibility and data accuracy through quality reviews/checks.
Manages model technical excellence delivery including guidance for team/support staff, model assurance reports, drafts special provisions, and reviews models for compliance.
Leads complex plan production by adapting a risk-adverse approach while reviewing and proposing mitigation solutions.
Leading the efforts in streamlining and optimizing existing processes and workflows, guiding task execution, team coordination, and solution efficiency.
Provides input for delivery estimates and implements standard practices and resources/templates for developing deliverable estimates.
Serves as a subject matter expert/primary contact to client(s) on all technical modeling matters.
Manage hardware, software, and database maintenance schedules and tasks to advance optimal performance and reliability.
Participates in budget/cost forecasting analysis in support of management team.
Collaborates with project teams for effective model integration.
Provides input to clients/others working on the same project.
Supports the preparation of competitive technical and commercial proposals. Reviews, identifies and proposes mitigation to risks within the proposed scope.
Generates detailed reports including key performance indicators (KPIs).
Performs in an advisory capacity to senior management on related work matters.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Engineering Degree
15+ years of related experience (including supervisory experience) with a strong background in large-scale infrastructure projects (e.g., Expressways, Roads, Utilities, Pumping stations etc.).
Proven track record of managing BIM workflows across multiple disciplines and throughout the project lifecycle.
Hands-on experience with BIM software (e.g., Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks, , BIM 360, Autocad).
Strong knowledge of BIM standards, modelling principles, and data management practices (e.g., ISO 19650, CDE).
Expertise in clash detection, model coordination, and issue resolution.
In-depth understanding of construction workflows, design coordination, and engineering systems.
Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Demonstrated effective managerial capability on construction projects of comparable scope and complexity is also required
Effective oral and written skills for client presentations, technical reporting, and internal / external correspondence; Ability to effectively present information to key stakeholders as required by the client
Understanding of budget development and cost accounting
Ability to function in a multi-organizational environment by developing relationships that complies with the client’s proactive, collaborative culture.
