BIM Expert

Abu Dhabi, UAE

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented BIM Expert to join our team! In this role, you will provide expert advice and technical support for all BIM related activities for the Client for a major Rail project in the United Arab Emirates.

The ideal candidate should have proven experience leading and managing the BIM process for large-scale Rail projects, with the ability to clearly define and enforce BIM requirements throughout the project lifecycle. The candidate should be capable of acting as the lead interface between stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring contractual compliance and the successful fulfilment of Client requirements during contract execution and engineering delivery.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Supports project design and construction activities, ensuring all Client BIM requirements are fulfilled by the various stakeholders.

• Develops, implements, and enforces BIM procedures and workflows across the programme.

• Establishes and maintains design guidelines and BIM standards.

• Reviews CAD drawings, BIM models, and renderings in line with programme requirements. Consolidates drawings and models to present to Client management.

• Validates reviews of design and construction documents for accuracy, compliance, and coordination.

• Coordinates BIM models across the programme to ensure clash-free and coordinated outputs.

• Supports project teams with BIM-related technical guidance and best practices.

• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree and/or have Chartered Engineer Status, with not less than 15 years’ experience in the management of design and/or construction of Major Infrastructure project, rail preferred.

• Expert-level proficiency in CAD, MicroStation, Revit, and other relevant digital design software.

• Extensive experience managing and reviewing BIM models in major infrastructure projects.

• Strong knowledge of BIM modeling, coordination, and review processes.

• Experience establishing and enforcing BIM execution plans (BEP) and project BIM standards.

• Thorough knowledge of engineering principles and established ability to apply concepts to modeling assignments in particular in a railway environment.

• Thorough knowledge of Common Data Environment (CDE) usage and management for model production.

• Thorough understanding of Task Information Delivery Plan/Master Information Delivery Plan.

• Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical BIM concepts clearly.

• Strong attention to detail and quality control mindset.

• Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

• Ability to thrive in an intense yet rewarding work culture.

• Self-motivated and capable of managing tasks independently while taking direction as needed.

• Creative thinker with a strong sense of ingenuity.

• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic.

• Quick learner who is people-oriented and a proactive problem solver.

• Engineering background or some level of technical background.

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:

• Ability to work collaboratively with engineers and construction teams.

• Experience on large-scale or multi-disciplinary projects in particular in a high speed railway environment.

• GCC/UAE Experience.

• BIM related certification is desired.
