Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a Senior BIM Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will support the Project Delivery Design Teams by coordinating the day-to-day development, establishment, and implementation of BIM processes across multiple projects in Abu Dhabi.

What You'll Be Doing

• Develop, document, and implement the overall project Digital/BIM strategy across all project teams in line with Parsons’ corporate standards, client BEP/EIR, and project goals.

• Establish and maintain project-specific BIM Execution Plans, protocols, workflows, and naming conventions, ensuring full alignment with ISO 19650 principles where applicable.

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of BIM modelers and technicians, ensuring that modeling tasks are clearly defined, properly resourced, and delivered on time.

• Review and provide feedback on the work produced by BIM modelers to maintain quality, consistency, and adherence to project standards.

• Define and communicate BIM roles, responsibilities, and processes to all project participants, ensuring clear understanding and compliance.

• Lead BIM start-up/kick-off sessions with internal teams and external stakeholders to align on expectations, deliverables, and collaboration procedures.

• Continuously review and refine the digital strategy to optimize efficiency, interoperability, and data quality throughout the design lifecycle.

• Support the Project Delivery Design Team(s) in the day-to-day implementation of BIM processes, tools, and standards across all disciplines.

• Provide technical guidance on modeling practices, information structuring, and model set-up to ensure consistency and compliance with project standards. • Troubleshoot BIM-related issues (software, workflows, coordination) and provide timely solutions or escalation pathways.

• Measure, verify, and ensure the highest quality of all BIM package submissions in accordance with project standards, Employer’s Information Requirements, and contractual obligations.

• Develop and implement BIM quality control procedures, including model audits, clash checks, data validation, and compliance checks against BEP and standards

• Provide regular progress and performance updates on a fortnightly and monthly basis, covering BIM model status, coordination issues, risks, and key achievements. • Prepare structured reports and dashboards summarizing model completeness, clash statistics, issue resolution status, and delivery forecasts.

• Support the deployment and configuration of BIM-related hardware and software for project team members, in coordination with IT and digital delivery teams.

• Assist in the selection, testing, and implementation of BIM tools, plugins, and integrations needed for the project.

What Required Skills You'll Bring

• Bachelors or Masters degree from an accredited institution.

• Minimum 6 years of demonstrable experience of BIM design production experience in a multi-disciplinary environment, preferably wet and dry utilities projects.

• Experience in consultant and infrastructure projects preferred.

• In-depth working knowledge of current Autodesk products such as but not limited to AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks and Autodesk Forma.

• Proficient in a range of BIM authoring, scripting, design review, coordination, simulations, and collaboration applications and/or platforms e.g. Civil 3D, Open Buildings Designer, Dynamo, Revit, Grasshopper, Navisworks.

• Experience with BIM instruction and trainings.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring

• Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken, with good capability in oral and written communication skills.

• Computer skills and the ability to utilize design software are mandatory.

• Middle East/Gulf Countries experience preferred but not essential
