Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented BIM/CAD Technician (Utilities) to join our team! In this role you will get to perform basic to moderately-difficult BIM Utilities design/drafting assignments.

• Collaborate closely with the BIM Lead and Design Leads to ensure project compliance with established policies and processes, and to support timely execution and delivery.
• Assist the BIM Lead, Design Leads, and Engineers in developing engineering drawings—including layouts, basic arrangements, flow sheets, isometrics, assemblies, and component details—based on sketches or general design information, following defined standards and procedures.
• Oversee all BIM-related activities throughout the project lifecycle, from initiation to completion, with a clear understanding of the BIM modeling process.
• Review drawings for clarity, accuracy, presentation quality, and compliance with company QA/QC standards.
• Create various types of content, including parametric and non-parametric families, demonstrating strong skills in content creation.
• Apply in-depth knowledge of Level of Development (LOD) requirements in all relevant BIM tasks.
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with other disciplines to address design coordination and model development issues.
• Utilize Autodesk Navisworks for clash detection and report generation.
• Extract schedules and quantities from the model for project planning and analysis.
• Perform additional duties as required, in alignment with the responsibilities of the role.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• At least 5 years of CAD drafting experience in utilities projects within the MEA/UAE region.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Autodesk Civil 3D, and Navisworks.
• Familiarity with Common Data Environments such as ProjectWise and BIM360

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Solid understanding of BIM principles, including LOD requirements and BIM workflows.
• Good communication skills with proficiency in English.
