Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented BIM/CAD Supervisor to join our team! In this role you will be leading and overseeing a team of CAD / BIM professionals in the creation, modification, and management of infrastructure design drawings and models. This role will focus on coordinating CAD efforts for various infrastructure projects, ensuring accuracy, quality, and adherence to project timelines.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Work closely with CAD / BIM manager and Design Leads to ensure the project’s compliance with the given policies and processes, and to ensure timely implementation and completion.

• Assign tasks and projects to CAD team members, ensuring that workloads are balanced and deadlines are met.

• Utilize a CAD workstations, CAD resources and works with BIM lead, Design Leads and Engineers to develop engineering drawings consisting of basic arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, component details from rough sketches and/or from general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures, and to ensure timely implementation and completion.

• Understand BIM modeling process and able to manage all BIM related activities from project start up to project completion.

• Review each drawing for readability, presentation and adherence to standards, in accordance to company QA/QC process.

• Good knowledge in content creation and able to create different types of parametric and non-parametric families.

• Strong knowledge in LOD requirements.

• Good knowledge in DEWA / DM / RTA standards and existing utilities management.

• Understanding of ROW related and cross sections / Routing plan preparation.

• Able to produce scheduling and quantity extraction from the model.

• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

• Capable of identifying issues and finding solutions to challenges during the design and review process.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

• Ensure proper documentation of all design changes, drawing revisions, and project updates for future reference and auditing.

• Manage the digital archiving of completed project drawings and related documents, maintaining an organized system for easy access.

• Maintain effective communication with project managers, engineers, and other departments to resolve any design-related issues or discrepancies.

• Implement quality control processes to catch errors early in the design process, avoiding costly revisions or project delays.

• Customize CAD software and tools to optimize productivity and streamline design processes.

• Provide technical support to the team for software-related issues and troubleshoot common problems.

• Good knowledge in Bentley projectwise, AutoDesk Construction Cloud and BIM 360.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Diploma or Bachelors degree in Civil /Electrical /Mechanical Engineering.

• At least 10+ years of MEA/UAE CAD drafting and BIM experience in Wet and Dry utilities projects with 5+ years of leadership experience in a supervisory or management role.

• Must have software experience in AutoCAD and Autodesk Civil 3D.

• Good knowledge in BIM, understand LOD requirements and BIM processes.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Knowledge on Microstation is preferred.
