Associate Structural Engineer (UAE National)
Dubai, UAE
In this position you will plan and design structures and facilities such as bridges, tunnels, pumping stations and other infrastructure buildings. In addition, you may assist in field inspections and the preparation of inspection reports.
The team you will be joining is responsible for bridges and structures design on many of the most prestigious projects in Dubai and the Northern Emirates. These include: Dubai Metro Blue Line; Shindagha Corridor Improvements (including the iconic Infinity Bridge over Dubai Creek); Route 2020 metro line; Sheikh Rashid bin Zayed Corridor; and the upgrade of the E311 Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed road.
What You'll Be Doing:
Performs a variety of engineering duties, primarily structural engineering, but may be developing in other sub-disciplines of Civil Engineering such as geotechnical or coastal engineering.
Responsible for the development of engineering computations and designs. Under close supervision in the utilization of engineering theories and practices, develops the creation of engineering products that meet customer quality requirements.
Performs various engineering and design assignments requiring the application of basic principles and fundamental theories studied in a four-year university engineering program, and available data in the engineering field.
Provides support for other engineering activities as required
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering (or related field).
Requires basic engineering design knowledge, and a working knowledge of CAD and other common PC software packages used in engineering design consultancy is an advantage.
Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
Related work experience (including Internships) is an advantage.
Engineering in Training (EIT) Certificate is preferred.
