Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Associate Environmental Geologist to join our team!

What You'll Be Doing:

• Performs various field and office tasks requiring the application of basic geological principles and fundamental theories.
• Applies available data pertinent to geology and/or hydrogeology, accurately describing and classifying various types of soil and rock samples.
• Provides technical guidance for stratigraphic and groundwater drilling programs.
• Conducts soil, surface water, groundwater, and sediment sampling programs.
• Assists in identifying various types of soil and rock, land forms, and geological processes for use in geological mapping and in performing basic geologic analyses.
• Assists in geologic report preparation, including preparation of cross sections and compilation of environmental sample analyses.
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in Geology or related field
• 0+ years of related work experience

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Familiarity of computer software applications, typically used in geological analyses (e.g., spreadsheets, CAD, aquifer test analysis, etc.)
• Effective problem solving and analytical skills
• Effective organizational and time management skills
• Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions and make recommendations
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures
• Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Exposure to environmental rules and regulations

Salary Range: 

$18.61 - $32.55
