Associate Drainage Engineer

Doha, Qatar

Parsons is now hiring an Entry Level Engineer for our rapidly expanding business.   Parsons extensive experience in this field, combined with your engineering knowledge, will propel your career forward with opportunity for advancement with top performance.  We need our engineers to be versatile, enthusiastic to work in highly flexible, team-oriented environment and who have exceptional communication, analytical and management skills.   In this position you will perform various engineering and design assignments requiring the application of basic principles and fundamental theories studied in a Bachelor’s degree university engineering program, and available data in the engineering field.

Responsibilities:

• Performs a variety of engineering duties and design assignments.

• Responsible for the development of engineering computations and designs.

• Under close supervision in the utilization of engineering theories and practices, develops engineering designs that meet customer requirements. 

• Provides support for other engineering activities as required. 

• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering

• Basic experience on design of SW drainage systems (positive and/or passive);

• Basic skills in AutoCAD;

• Basic knowledge in Excel spreadsheets for design and analysis;

• Basic knowledge in StormCAD (Preferable)

• MME registered or ability to obtain MME Engineering registration.

Desirable:

• An understanding of infrastructure project lifecycle
• Knowledge of flood risk appraisal and management approaches
• Understanding of sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) and Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) principles
• Exposure to GCC work environments
