Job Description:

Assistant Project Manager

What You'll Be Doing:

• Complete variety of project management tasks such as internal coordination within project design team, coordinate with external project stakeholders, arrange and attend project meetings and follow up and monitor project progress.

• Provide day-to-day project management support on medium to large projects and proposals to the Project Manager and/or the Project Director.

• Support PM/PD to implement their directions to manage a successful project.

• Ensure on-schedule completion within or below budget in accordance with contractual obligations.  

• Support the PM/PD to achieve project profitability through management of all financial aspects of the project. 

• Support activities such as scope development, scope management, and commercial performance of the project.  

• Plan and define project goals and devises methods to accomplish them; develop in-depth knowledge of client objectives and requirements, contract terms, and corporate policies.  

• Ensure that the project meets or exceeds goals established in these plans.

• Prepare requisitions for sub-contractors, undertake the complete procurement process of 3rd parties and manage their delivery.

• Arrange internal and external project meetings, and prepare project progress meetings records / minutes and project progress reports.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in any Engineering discipline preferably in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical programs

• Minimum 7 years of related work experience in the same capacity.

• Excellent written and oral communications skills. Fluency and oral and written Arabic is an added advantage.

• Engineer in Training (EIT) Certificate may be required

• Working knowledge of CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering and project management activity.

• Knowledge of current technology and how it can be effectively utilized on projects

Licenses and Certifications

• Professional registration is not essential but will be an added advantage.
