Job Description:
VAXCOM Servies, A Parsons Company, is looking for an amazingly talented Armed Security Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to lead, train, and develop a small cadre of armed security guards working at a sensitive Client location.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Interface and act as liaison with multiple partners and stakeholders.
- Direct, coordinate and oversee all activities of the on-site security staff. Including supervisory, training, and operational functions at the assigned post in accordance with post orders and client instructions, and in compliance with all internal procedures.
- Coordinates all aspects of the security contract at the assigned location.
- Responsible for supervising, coaching and training employees.
- Conduct interviews, make hiring recommendations and execute site-specific orientations.
- First point of contact regarding performance, operations, emergency response activities, and department needs.
- Responsible for scheduling and payroll coordination at assigned site.
- Maintain proficiency in the use of all assigned equipment and weapons.
- Observes and reports activities and incidents, providing documentation to company management and Client representatives.
- Prepare logs and reports as required.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- 8+ years of related armed security experience.
- 3+ years of experience working in a lead or supervisory role.
- Experience interacting with senior representatives from both your own organization and those from clients whom you support.
- Must possess a TS/SCI with polygraph.
- Experience working with sensitive clients at their sites.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- 8+ years experience leading and managing teams of 10+ people, working with clients, scheduling, and performance management.
- Familiarity of contract/program/project management.
- At least one of the following:
- (a.) 8+ years experience in a State licensed security services occupation (armed/unarmed guard, control room operator, etc.)
- (b) Previous U.S. military experience
- (c) 8+ years experience as a Federal, State, or Municipal Law Enforcement Officer, or Dispatcher with successful completion of a police officer's basic training academy or an Associate's degree in a Security or Law Enforcement field.
Security Clearance Requirement:
