Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Controls Director to join our team! We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Project Controls Director to lead project controls activities for a large-scale project for our client. The project Controls Director will be responsible for providing strategic direction, oversight, and leadership in project controls, including cost management, scheduling, risk management, and change management, leveraging their extensive experience and expertise to ensure successful project delivery.
What You'll Be Doing:
Provide strategic direction and leadership in project controls for the large-scale project, overseeing all aspects of project controls activities, including cost management, scheduling, risk management, and change management.
Develop and implement project controls strategies, methodologies, and best practices to optimize project performance, mitigate risks, and maximize project success, drawing on extensive industry experience and insights.
Lead the development and implementation of project controls processes, systems, and tools, ensuring alignment with project objectives, client requirements, and industry standards.
Provide guidance and support to project controls teams, including cost engineers, schedulers, risk analysts, and change management specialists, to ensure the successful execution of project controls activities.
Develops and implements standard project controls practices including scheduling manual, reporting manual, forms, templates, EPS, and WBS.
Develops detailed daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports and submit to client
Creates executive summary and dashboard reports including key performance indicators (KPIs) which focus on status and issues of each project to allow project stakeholders to make timely decisions to resolve such issues and push projects forward
Oversee the development and maintenance of project schedules, including baseline schedules, progress updates, and critical path analyses, to monitor project progress, identify schedule variances, and mitigate schedule risks.
Manage the development and maintenance of project budgets, including cost estimates, budget forecasts, and earned value analyses, to track project costs, monitor budget variances, and control project expenditures.
Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and analyses to identify project risks, assess their potential impact on project objectives, and develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize project risks.
Lead the change management process for the project, including evaluating change requests, assessing their impact on project scope, schedule, and budget, and implementing approved changes in accordance with project controls procedures.
Provide strategic advice and recommendations to project teams, client representatives, and stakeholders on project controls matters, leveraging industry insights and best practices to drive project success.
Serve as the primary point of contact for client interactions related to project controls, including providing updates, addressing issues and concerns, and delivering expert project controls services to meet client requirements and expectations.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Proficiency in project controls software and tools, including but not limited to Primavera P6, and other project management software platforms, with the ability to develop and customize project controls reports and dashboards.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with project teams, client representatives, and stakeholders at all levels to provide expert project controls services and support.
Certification in project management and/or project controls preferred.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field;
Minimum of 25 years of experience in project controls, cost management, scheduling, or related fields
Extensive experience in leading project controls activities for large-scale projects, including developing and implementing project controls strategies, processes, and systems.
