Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Technical Director to join our team in Riyadh! In this role you will get to oversee the technical aspects of a mega infrastructure project exceeding $2 Billion in total installed cost.
The Technical Director will be responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of the project, ensuring that engineering and technical disciplines are properly coordinated and that the project is delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Provide technical leadership and direction to the project team.
Ensure that all technical aspects of the project are aligned with the project goals and objectives.
Oversee the design and engineering processes of all disciplines to ensure the design is produced in line with the requirements of the project.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of technical solutions.
Facilitate communication between different technical disciplines and project teams.
Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure the highest standards of technical excellence.
Conduct regular technical audits and reviews to identify and mitigate risks.
Identify and resolve technical issues and challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
Provide innovative solutions to complex engineering problems.
Manage technical resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
Ensure that technical teams are adequately staffed and equipped to meet project demands.
Engage with clients, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to ensure their technical requirements and expectations are met.
Represent the project in technical meetings and presentations.
Assist in the development and management of the project budget and schedule from a technical perspective.
Ensure that technical activities are completed on time and within budget.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field.
20+ years of experience in engineering and technical management, in large-scale multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects (railways, large main utilities, highways, bridges, airports).
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Ability to engage effectively with clients, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Proficiency in engineering software and tools.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to perform in a supervisory/managerial capacity, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong acumen in sustainable engineering and construction innovations.
8 to 10 years of work experience in KSA and/or the GCC.
Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations.
Thorough knowledge of current technology and the capabilities and efficiencies of specific engineering software for use in completing engineering assignments.
Proven track record of successful project delivery.
Experience in conducting technical audits and reviews.
Knowledge of budget and schedule management from a technical perspective.
Professional Engineer registration with active membership in a professional engineering society would be an added value.
