Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Tunnel Design Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will get to justify the tunnel design in structural and geotechnical respects and coordinate with tunnel engineers of other projects to achieve a common approach for all relevant solutions and issues.
What You'll Be Doing:
Technical review of the Contractor’s design submissions.
Provide input from a tunnel engineer’s point of view for the value engineering proces
Identifying risks in the Contractor’s tunnel design
Provide design and integration with other engineering disciplines including structural, geotechnical and environmental, covering a range of project requirements from new build to modification, maintenance or refurbishment.
Guide the team for design analysis, reports and drawings for main civil and underground works.
Planning & managing overall project deliverables, timely completion of the project milestones and achieving project objectives.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering from recognized professional institution with Specialization in Tunnelling Engineering Works. Qualification certificates are to be enclosed along with CV.
Minimum 15 years demonstrable experience in the Structural Design of Drainage tunnels (diameter 3000mm and above) and Shafts
Working for either a Consultancy or Contractor firm and familiar with relevant codes and practices adopted in Qatar.
Minimum 10 years of experience as Senior Tunnel Design Engineer in the Design of large scale sewer network projects especially involving Microtunelling /Tunnelling.
Completed minimum two projects comprising deep sewer tunnels in Middle East in the position of Senior Tunnel Design Engineer.
Shall possess hands-on knowledge in the design of Hydraulic Structures.
Preference shall be provided to candidates with prior knowledge of working in Qatar.
