Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior O&M Planning Engineer to join our team! In this role you will be responsible for improving the productivity and quality of the maintenance team by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through effective planning and scheduling processes. The role also involves identifying and improving the IBM Maximo system to address and resolve integration issues.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Improve productivity and quality of the maintenance team by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and scheduling processes.
- Ensure first-time job performance so that equipment reliability is maximized, while seeking maximum tool time from the maintenance team.
- Review and improve maintenance planning and coordination of all planned maintenance activities.
- Monitor performance and quality assurance, ensuring the required planned maintenance activities are carried out along with audits and inspections.
- Follow up on backlog, trend analysis, spare parts management, material substitution, tools and equipment, and monthly analysis reports.
- Identify and improve the IBM Maximo system, including reviewing the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and implementing improvements.
- Identify and resolve issues related to SAP integration with IBM.
- Generate reports to management, including KPIs, Root Cause Analyses (RCA), etc.
- Periodically review Preventive Maintenance (PM) plans and task lists in coordination with service lines.
- Review estimates of material, labor, tools, and equipment for job requirements.
- Develop and review Predictive Maintenance (PdM) job plans.
- Monitor backlog and expedite the closure of tickets on time.
- Monitor spare parts store and keep track of stock reservations for planned work and estimate consumption.
- Monitor work order creation and ensure all assets with PM and PdM are carried out without fail.
- Develop planner reference systems, including a file of planned job packages for recurring jobs, plus labor and material libraries for each piece of equipment.
- Keep the Maintenance Reliability Engineer informed of abnormal or critical situations and seek advice on matters outside the planner's knowledge or authority.
- Identify recommendations and areas for improvement.
- Be responsible for the Bills of Material (Spare Parts lists) for assets.
- Review all work order feedback and update PMs and Standard Work Orders accordingly.
- Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of the employee's knowledge, skills, and abilities in the field of his/her position.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in maintenance planning and scheduling.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills, proven through technical presentations, technical papers, and/or participation in technical committees.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- Established career as a Maintenance Planner with strong and effective communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
- Strong experience with CMMS, particularly IBM Maximo, and SAP integration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
