Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Engineer - Electrical (Saudi National) to join our team! In this role the successful applicant will be responsible for supervising of the electrical coordination within assigned projects. The electrical engineer will also provide direction and management for investment projects, light industry projects, commercial & residential projects which includes coordination, scope management and overall implementation of the project to meeting project goals and objectives. Should be familiar with the integration of the engineering and technical aspects, and construction activities.
Organisation/Relationships:
The Senior Electrical Engineer reports to the Senior Project Manager and liaises with all other team members of the Project Management Department and interfaces with the schedulers and project acceptance specialists, project controllers and project management specialists. Coordinates with client’s representatives, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, government agencies, consultants and investors as necessary
What You'll Be Doing:
Responsible for overall coordination and management of any assigned electrical (installation, testing and commissioning) projects and interfaces with the Master Planning team, Engineering, Procurement, Finance and Budget, utility companies, and all other stakeholders.
Define the technical design basis, schedule, development implementation plan, lead efforts of monitoring private investment projects in coordination with the Investment Development Division and Project Management Department.
Assists Senior Project Manager in the preparation of requests for proposals, prepares and/or reviews contract documents, develops scopes of projects.
Participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies and in public meetings in support of client.
Oversees establishment of Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other documents as required.
Establish the program implementation requirements for all areas of the project and monitors the draft and final deliverables for adherence to these criteria.
Responsible for executing project plans in coordination with key subordinates after careful assessment of project execution plan.
Make recommendations to create project teams capable of completing effective and quality work.
Work with the key project individuals to devise the execute action plans to rectify potential conflicts, coordination issues and delays.
Promotes technical and commercial excellence on the project through application of quality assurance process.
Monitors and reports to management on the progress of all electrical project activity within the program, including significant milestones, and any conditions.
Establishes weekly meeting to review electrical project status and formulate action items.
Performs other project management functions as required by management focused on program electrical issues.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Must have Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum five years of relevant experience.
Extensive knowledge of design and installation of electrical systems, low and mid voltages.
Strong background in electrical project management and supervisory assignments in scheduling, project acceptance, planning, budgeting, procurement and feasibility studies.
Candidate must have excellent ability to read, analyze and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing in English.
Proven ability to perform project management role through knowledge of industry practices and regulation.
Must be fully aware of current industry technology.
Ability to proficiently perform duties in accordance with the job description for the Electrical Engineer role.
