Join us as our new Road Design Modeler – BIM, Roads 2D & 3D, and you will become part of a world class, innovation driven engineering design team with high Road engineering excellence! We would like to bring your strong knowledge of Civil 3D, AutoCAD and Bentley into play as you will be forming part of our Modelling Team, responsible to provide drafting support to technically challenging major infrastructure projects, together with other 3D Modelling stuff.
Working on a concept, preliminary and detailed models and drawings to create 2D drawing and 3D models and support other members of the engineering & drafting team in accomplishing complex tasks. Under the general direction of a higher-level Design Delivery Lead or Design Engineer, the incumbent at this level typically prepares Road Design-related models & drawings (Plan & Profile, cross sections, roundabouts, Junctions, interchanges, general arrangement drawings, quantity take-offs, 3D objects ), working in 2D and 3D in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and/or Bentley OpenRoads environment.
As a Road Design Modeler you will need to coordinate with project managers and/or engineers for drafting work in a given project, responsible for technical correctness and timely delivery of the drawings and documents, collaborate with engineers, PBU and other team members, coordinate with other disciplines such as utilities and masterplanning, interpret and create technical drawings and revise drawings as necessary based on feedback or changes to project specifications.
Capability of applying more advanced CAD techniques such as CAD automation to achieve best effective way of delivery.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring :
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree or 3 Years Diploma in Engineering from an accredited University or equivalent
Minimum 3+ years of Roads & Highways Project Experience.
Recent, progressive 3D/2D modelling experience, in Autodesk Civil 3D modelling
Proficient in CAD design 2D/3D under AutoCAD and/or Bentley Microstation.
Skills/Competencies:
Experienced and proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D, AutoCAD and MicroStation
Good knowledge in CDE platform (e.g. ProjectWise, ACC, BIM360)
Able to demonstrate (skill assessment may be required) ability to set up new Civil 3D project files for the team; Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and multitasking ability; Produce Civil 3D Families according to project requirements.
Able to maintain standards and library of Civil 3D families / objects; Able to run clash detection in Civil 3D as well as produce working drawings in Civil 3D.
Proficient in a range of BIM Authoring, Scripting, Design Review, Coordination, Simulations and Collaboration Platforms
Good knowledge in engineering practice in infrastructure, utility facilities, road and bridges
Good coordination skill and able to Identify, fix and resolve the clashes with minimum support.
Experienced in Navisworks / clash detection for multidisciplinary coordination
Excellent communication skills, fluent English in both oral and written.
Must be a team player, positive attitude and detail-orientated professional.
Excellent organization and time management skills, with ability to work under tight deadlines.
Knowledge in Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel and Outlook)
