Job Description:

Position Overview: The Project Manager provides direction and management for medium to large-sized projects, ensuring on-schedule completion within or below budget in accordance with contractual obligations. The Project Manager is responsible for scope development, scope management, and the commercial performance of the project to meet established goals and objectives. This role involves planning and defining program goals, devising methods to accomplish them, and developing an in-depth understanding of client objectives, contract terms, and corporate policies. The project is a community development initiative located in Dubai.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Act as the company representative with the client, consultants, and contractors during the execution of the project.

• Negotiate changes to the scope of work with the client and secure additional work as required.

• Follow up on instructions and commitments associated with the project.

• Participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies and public meetings in support of the client.

• Oversee the establishment of the Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other required documents.

• Define program requirements for all areas of the project and monitor draft and final deliverables for adherence to these criteria.

• Develop and distribute concise project descriptions to all team members for reference.

• Plan, direct, supervise, and control the execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the assigned project.

• Assign responsibilities to key subordinates based on their qualifications and strengths, and provide input for performance reviews and development plans.

• Mobilize company resources through liaison with support departments, other offices, or subsidiaries to create project teams capable of delivering quality work.

• Collaborate with office facilities staff to address project space requirements.

• Work with managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and plans for various project elements.

• Ensure the project meets or exceeds goals established in these plans.

• Devise and execute action plans to address cost overruns, delays, or significant changes to the scope of work, advising the client and company management of such changes.

• Maintain current and timely change orders.

• Promote technical and commercial excellence on the project through the application of Quality Assurance processes.

• Monitor and report to management on project progress, including milestones and conditions that may affect cost or schedule.

• Establish weekly meetings to review project status and formulate action items.

• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical/business field.

• Minimum 20+ years of related work experience.

• Previous project management experience on community development projects in Dubai is essential.

• Experience in a PMC role is preferable.

• Residential/Buildings background is required.

• Proven ability to perform in a management capacity.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Arabic.

• Thorough knowledge of industry practices and Dubai regulations.

• Strong leadership and team management abilities.

• Knowledge of current technology and its effective utilization in project execution.
