Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Director to join our team! In this role you will get to provide leadership and direction for every phase of significant infrastructure projects or programs to assure on-schedule completion within or below budget and in accordance with contractual obligations. The Project director will plan and define program goals and devises methods to accomplish them; develop in-depth knowledge of client objectives, contract terms, and corporate policies. In this role you will act as a subject matter expert (SME) responsible for providing the necessary technical advisory and support services.
What You'll Be Doing:
Leads, plans, directs, supervises, and controls the execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the assigned program, project, or subtask.
Acts as the company representative with the client and selected suppliers during the program execution. Negotiates changes to the scope of work with the client.
Provide direct assistance to client leadership, including input, review and comment on landscape and public realm planning, design and development initiatives, studies, and reports.
Review, comment and/or contribute to planning reports for major projects, including plans, design guidelines and standards, other landscape design studies.
Participate in and promote Parsons Sustainability Core Value.
Support complex project teams which require sustainability evaluation and environmental compliance, from conception to project completion.
Work closely with project owners, developers, design teams and project managers to achieve sustainability objectives in the design and planning process.
Assist in starting up major programs and developing sustainability strategies tailored for each project’s aspirations and requirements.
Guide project teams during planning, design development, tendering and construction supervision to enable achievement of projects sustainability and environmental goals.
Support the implementation of different sustainability rating systems such as LEED, Estidama, Mustadam, Envision, etc.
Develop technical reports and studies for sustainability certification and environmental documentation as part of project deliverables.
Assist in the recruitment, interviews, and evaluation of prospective employees within the sustainability discipline.
Support pre-contract and business development efforts as required, serving as technical consultant on projects with sustainability and environmental components.
Prepare RFPs to appoint the most suitable sub-consultants for any given project.
Assess and manage the appointed sub-consultants and review their S&E studies.
Monitor the quality and progress of the sustainability focused work for projects across the MENA+ region.
Present to clients on technical aspects and assists in relevant project approvals.
Monitor and stay engaged with all changing concepts involving sustainability and how it affects the Architectural Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent from a recognized university essential.
Master’s degree in environmental sciences, engineering, planning, or related design disciplines.
Minimum 20 years of experience of significant large-scale projects, in leadership roles.
Documented participation in the preparation of a third-party sustainability certification application (e.g., LEED, Envision, Estidama), including at least two (2) completed, certified projects, including an in-depth knowledge of the latest trends in the sustainability field.
Certification, License or Registration as a professional in landscape architecture, urban planning, and/or architecture (e.g., CLARB, AICP, ASLA, LEED AP, CNU) is preferred.
Experience in coordinating with diverse individuals and teams including client, consultant, contractor, design, and construction members to enable achievement of project sustainability objectives and targets.
Considerable experience at senior management/director level in client facing roles is essential.
GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) experience preferred, KSA (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) ideal.
Aviation experience is preferred.

Understanding of the construction management at risk alternative delivery process and the functions inherent to construction management of large-scaled projects
Understanding of budget development and cost accounting
Ability to manage and encourage a team of construction management professionals
Ability to interface with all levels with project team, client, and others
Knowledge of construction contract negotiation and administration
Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents
Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints
Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of support function problems
Ability to function in a multi-organizational environment by developing relationships that complies with the client’s proactive, collaborative culture.
