Lead Engineer – Landscaping
Parsons is seeking a highly experienced Lead Engineer - Landscaping to join our team for a large-scale infrastructure & construction project. The Lead Engineer - Landscaping will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing all landscaping aspects of the project and will be responsible for ensuring that landscaping designs align with project requirements, environmental regulations, and sustainability goals. Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will lead the implementation of landscaping plans to enhance the aesthetic appeal, functionality, and ecological balance of the project site.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive landscaping plans in coordination with architects, engineers, and environmental specialists.
Conduct site surveys and analysis to assess terrain, soil conditions, drainage, and existing vegetation.
Incorporate sustainable landscaping practices and green infrastructure solutions into design proposals.
Lead a team of landscaping professionals, including designers, horticulturists, and technicians.
Delegate tasks effectively, provide guidance, and ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
Foster a collaborative work environment conducive to creativity, innovation, and professional growth.
Prepare cost estimates and budgets for landscaping activities, materials, and equipment.
Optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency while maintaining project objectives.
Monitor expenses and implement cost-control measures to ensure project profitability.
Supervise landscaping construction activities, including grading, planting, irrigation, and installation of hardscape elements.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with specifications.
Address any technical challenges or deviations from plans promptly and effectively.
Collaborate with clients, government agencies, and community stakeholders to align landscaping goals with project objectives and regulatory requirements.
Present landscaping proposals, progress updates, and final deliverables to stakeholders, addressing feedback and concerns as necessary.
Foster positive relationships and maintain open communication channels to ensure project success and stakeholder satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field;
Proven experience of 18 years in landscape design, construction, and project management, preferably in large-scale infrastructure projects and a minimum 5yrs+ experience in GCC (KSA experience ideally).
Proficiency in CAD software, GIS applications, and other relevant design tools.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
Deep understanding of environmental regulations, sustainable practices, and landscaping trends.
