Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Information Assurance Analyst to join our team! In this role you will get to provide mission assurance through developing, maintaining, and implementing information security standards, procedures, and guidelines for applications and services.
What You'll Be Doing:
Performs assessments of systems and networks within the networking environment or enclave and identifies where those systems/networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy. This is achieved through passive evaluations (compliance audits) and active evaluations (vulnerability assessments).
Develop and propose security procedures for systems and software within area of expertise to ensure consistent security policy implementation. Establishes strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and supports for obtaining certification and accreditation of systems.
This includes process support, analysis support, coordination support, security certification test support, security documentation support, investigations, software research, hardware introduction and release, emerging technology research inspections, and periodic audits.
Participates in and support various Information Assurance forums as directed.
Create, update, and present Information Assurance (IA) related briefings and other related materials as a security Subject Matter Expert (SME). Knowledge and experience in vulnerability management
Safeguarding enterprise information, intellectual assets, and business operations from accidental or intentional disruption, disclosure, or destruction Conduct threat assessments and evaluation of vulnerabilities, risk, and potential impact.
Collection and analysis of information from various application, endpoint, and network sources to identify vulnerabilities and potential for exploitation. Develops and/or recommends appropriate mitigation countermeasures in operational and nonoperational situations.
Performs analyses to validate established security requirements and recommends additional security requirements and safeguards where required.
Perform Incident triage, to include determining initial scope, urgency, and impact. Perform Incident Response actions to mitigate immediate and potential threats.
Track and document Incidents from initial detection through final resolution.
Understand network security tools, attack methodologies, operating systems, general networking concepts, and enterprise environments.
Special Projects – Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
A Bachelor's Degree in computer security, computer science, or another closely related IT discipline
At least 5 years' experience security related experience as an ISSO or experience in vulnerability management and cybersecurity analysis
