Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Geotechnical - Subject Matter Expert to join our team
“What You’ll Be Doing”
Experience in evaluating technical Geotechnical proposals.
Ability to manage Geotechnical investigation processes to ensure timely delivery of geotechnical information for design services.
Ability to lead, manage, and contribute to geotechnical investigations activities and assessments.
Experience in reviewing and analyzing geotechnical reports related to various projects such as foundation design, infrastructure, shoring, retaining walls, slope stability, road structure design, and materials testing.
Thorough understanding of soil mechanics, rock mechanics, and geotechnical engineering principles.
Familiarity with geological concepts and geotechnical testing procedures.
Proficiency in assessing and analyzing geotechnical design using relevant software and methodologies such as GeoStudio, Rocscience, PLAXIS 2D and 3D, Pdisp, Repute, and Wallap.
Ability to provide technical support during planning and construction periods.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring”
Minimum of 20 years of experience in the geotechnical field.
Experience working on large-scale projects.
Experience in preparing Geotechnical Investigations RFPs (Request for Proposals) according to SBC (Saudi Building Code), international standards, and in line with Design Stages requirements.
Experience in evaluating technical Geotechnical proposals.
Experience in preparing Geotechnical reports for clients and stakeholders.
What Desired Skills You’ll Bring
Familiarity with Saudi building codes, standards, and regulations related to geotechnical engineering.
Understanding of environmental considerations and sustainability practices in geotechnical activities/projects.
Knowledge of construction methods and procedures related to foundations and earthworks.
