What You'll Be Doing:
The Project Director- 3D Building Systems is responsible for overseeing and leading all pre and post construction activities for 3D volumetric manufacturing, installation and commissioning, primarily for residential assets across City Built Infrastructure.
Incumbent is thoroughly familiar with volumetric manufacturing, flow line and cellular manufacturing to achieve a high level of pre-manufactured value (PMV) across a diverse range of premium quality residential assets.
The role requires a strong understanding of volumetric building / manufacturing principles including Kaizen, lean manufacturing, design for manufacture and assembly (DFMA), bills of materials (BOMS) and MRP systems.
Lead the development of work package plans to ensure all key deliverables for manufacturing, installation and commissioning of assets align with the cost plan and programme objectives.
Provide input into the design phases to ensure design for manufacturing and assembly approach aligns with project deliverables and programme objectives.
Ensure design outputs align with the procurement execution strategy to develop supply chain ecosystems and core products into sub-assemblies that can assembled into finished product in a manufacturing facility adjacent to the project.
Develop procurement execution strategies for work packages aligned to project deliverables and programme objectives, assessing commercial risks aligned to manufacturing, installation, commissioning, long lead procurement and whole life cycle cost.
Build effective stakeholder relations across a multi-faceted organization developing key interface and engagement plans to build successful stakeholder relations.
Work closely with the QC/QA teams to ensure all QC/QA deliverables are in accordance with process, procedures and applicable standards using digital systems for inspection and test plans (ITP), BIM360 and COBie data.
This role will be actively involved in both pre- and post-contract phases and requires the post holder to have experience in both phases. Also, willingness to relocate to construction site locations is required.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Demonstrable background in volumetric manufacturing and advanced manufacturing principles in premium residential assets
Proficient in managing multiple internal and external stakeholders to drive successful outcomes.
A self-motivated, proactive individual who leads by example.
Initiative-taking leadership qualities, technical problem solving skills through building stakeholder relationships.
Delivery focused, strong ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives to project managers and engineers.
Experience building and leading multidiscipline teams.
Demonstrable record in successful delivery of large complex projects as project lead/project director
Saudi Arabia experience preferred but not essential.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Engineering Degree in Construction or Manufacturing, must be proficient in Volumetric Manufacturing/installation, having played a senior role in large multi-faceted complex projects.
Minimum 15+ years of direct experience in construction/manufacturing of large projects is required, with 10+ years of experience in project leadership roles.
