Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Construction Engineer (Saudi National) to join our team! In this role, you will get to independently perform all aspects of construction engineering assignments for construction projects.
Position Overview:
With minimal supervision, you will independently perform all aspects of field engineering assignments, including the development of plans, schedules, contracts, procedures, and construction methods and systems for an assigned project or a designated area of a large project. You will be responsible for reviewing the performance of subcontractors to ensure contract compliance, the application of accepted construction technology and standards, and the standardization of materials and supplies. You will also provide technical guidance to lower-level field engineering personnel. Willingness to relocate to construction site locations is expected.
What You'll Be Doing:
Perform complex field engineering assignments involving the development, execution, supervision, and coordination of all technical aspects of a construction project.
Maintain first-level quality assurance to ensure that all work within your discipline meets plans, specifications, and industry standards.
Supervise Construction Inspectors and ensure tests and inspections are performed, witnessed, and documented according to approved procedures.
Monitor and coordinate all contractors' activities for the assigned area.
Collaborate with construction management to eliminate hazards that may impact the environment or the safety or health of employees.
Ensure that personnel of the assigned group engage in safe work practices in compliance with site-specific safety procedures and industry standards.
Provide resolution for technical engineering problems within the assigned discipline(s); coordinates application of solutions.
Develop construction schedules and monitor progress, providing reports to the Construction Manager.
Monitor material procurement and deliveries to ensure timeliness in support of construction activities and schedule within the assigned discipline. Ensure that materials received meet specifications and established standards of quality.
Organize the accumulation of assigned discipline data for the final project turnover and report.
Initiate and maintains records, back-charge procedures, progress reports, etc., as required.
Interface with clients and upper-level management.
Perform other responsibilities as appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's Degree in civil engineering or a construction-related field.
Minimum 8 years of experience, with 2 years of experience in infrastructure and utilities, preferably with infrastructure projects (Primary Substations or Overhead Transmission Lines) and/or large civil/structural at domestic and/or foreign locations.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Comprehensive knowledge of engineering and construction-related processes and industry practices.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Familiarity with CAD and other PC software packages associated with engineering and construction.
Proven ability to perform in a lead capacity on projects
